" 4 " is a story similar to a tree with many leaves. Our concept for the shoot was based on the Rich deep history of our beloved Baltimore and dances around the idea of merging the times.. Subtly, the Uprising that drove a number of Saint Domingue (now Haiti) refugees into Baltimore, circa 1793. We shot "4" during The Sowebohemian Festival near the historic Hollins Market which opened in Baltimore in 1846, and is one of the oldest of the 5 Public Market houses. The idea of the houses was to have common meeting place for tradespeople and then evolved into a place of tradition, and stand as pillars for our communities today. In our present year 2017, We see notes from the past reoccur under different premise. Some positive and some negative, but the original spirit, building blocks and foundations are still intertwined and alive today. If you are familiar with Vita Blu' you know that amongst our myriad of interests; We #LOVE and connect with numerology, and are passionate about higlighting the beauty in our city of Baltimore. So it seemed only right that we added our prominent dates in that method. 1+7+9+3 +1+8+4+6 +2+0+1+7 = 49 | 4+9= 13 | 1+3= 4 . 4 represents strength, hard work, solidarity and a strong foundation.
